Anna's Workshops is a peer-support program for children, ages
7 -12, with a parent or loved one suffering from mental illness.

The program is comprised of eight structured meetings, encouraging partipation through discussions and play, as well as art therapy.  Activities are adapted to the age of the children.

The workshops provide general inforrmation about mental illness to the children and give them the necessary tools to understand and deal with their realities.  Children are encouraged to partipate and share their feelings, with the end goal of increasing their self-esteem and resilience.

This program was published after 4 years of extensive research and is the first of its kind to be published in Quebec.  It incorporates a vast array of colourful, innovative resource materials, as well as a practical, user-friendly facilitator's manual.

In January 2009, a pilot program 'The Lighthouse' addressing the needs of adolescents, ages 12-17, was launched.
